Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS a gentle, trauma-informed approach that helps people understand the different “parts” of themselves that may show up after painful experiences. In trauma work, IFS recognizes that some parts may carry hurt, fear, shame, or grief, while other parts try to protect you by keeping emotions under control, avoiding reminders, or staying on alert. The goal is not to get rid of any part, but to help you connect with your calm, compassionate core Self so those parts feel safer and less overwhelmed. Over time, this can reduce the intensity of trauma symptoms and help you feel more grounded, connected, and whole.
