Holistic Psychotherapy for the Mind, Body, and Spirit

About

About Me

I am an independently licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist in New York and Massachusetts, with a Master of Social Work from Boston College. I have worked in a variety of settings, including in-home therapy, outpatient therapy, a community health center, and most recently, private practice. Working in an interdisciplinary medical setting has given me the tools to support clients from a holistic lens, taking into account both physical and mental health. I find that my clients respond most effectively to  interventions that focus on the mind, body, and spirit, such as EMDR and mindfulness-based approaches.

Specializing in Trauma, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, LGBTQIA+ concerns, Chronic Illness & Pain, and Clinical Supervision

Trauma

I am an EMDR Certified Therapist. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful mind-body intervention that allows the body and mind to process and release trauma. I am IFS-informed, trained in ego state therapy, and enjoy incorporating parts work and inner child work into both EMDR and talk therapy sessions. I am trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-based modality for treating trauma. I treat complicated grief with Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy.

Anxiety

I have specialized training in evidenced-based modalities for treating anxiety, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure-based therapies.

Mood Disorders

I treat mood disorders such as depression and Bipolar-spectrum disorders, using cognitive, behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches. I am happy to coordinate care with medication prescribers as needed to ensure continuity of care.

LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy
Chronic Illness & Pain
Clinical Supervision

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals. I have experience writing letters and other documentation that supports gender-affirming surgery.

Working in a medical setting has given me extensive experience in supporting clients struggling with acute or chronic illness. I am also certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). Each therapeutic intervention I utilize in my practice takes physical health and wellness into account.

I am experienced in providing clinical supervision to new clinicians seeking licensure, and believe in "paying it forward" to clinicians newly entering the field.
